This is a true patient review. I was not compensated for it. Almost all of the in person staff interactions I've had have been wonderful. But trying to get through to the proper department or a human being on the phone is always an exercise in patience and frustration. I respect that they are sometimes remote or automated but they could be trained or programmed much better.

I had a series of appts for a herniated disc. All of the staff were friendly and supportive. I ended up getting surgery of a lumbar laminectomy and microdiscectomy done by Dr. Boddapati. He is a wonderful doctor to work with. He communicates clearly and kindly. He is a very talented surgeon and i feel 100% better after his care.

Gave birth to my third child at Mercy’s birthing center and I will always pick them to deliver or recommend to others. The nurses are so wonderful as are their OBs & midwives (Heather B is the best!) You are always in great care at Mercy‘s birthing center where all staff makes you feel taken care of in a very intimate setting. So glad I chose them for the delivery of all three of my children.

I cannot begin to express how wonderful my experience was at Mercy Health - Lorain Hospital during my recent right breast mastectomy. Dr. Patel is an amazing doctor and surgeon. Her office staff made preparing for surgery incredibly easy, guiding me through every single step and answering all of my questions with patience and care. ​I also want to extend a huge thank you to the incredible inpatient staff who looked after me after surgery: my RNs, April, Winnie, and Becca, and my PCAs, Liz and Naujan. You were all so helpful, and I couldn't have asked for a better team during my stay. Even the housekeeping and dietary staff were wonderfully supportive and kind. Thank you all for making a challenging time so much easier.

The entire OB team was beyond wonderful to us! We always appreciate the care of Dr. Matheson, delivering our third child. With each pregnancy and delivery, he has consistently helped us feel confident in our decisions for our birthing plans and honoring our wishes throughout each journey. Brittany Gonzales is just a gem. She is cheery and her positive and uplifting energy carried us through, even during the most challenging moments of labor. Madi and Jenny were the perfect nurses during postpartum care for us. Each were able to make special provisions to help us feel settled and comforted while we begun our caring for our little one. We were beyond blessed to have such a caring and compassionate team. Thank you for the wonderful experience!
